Algae New Species Found in Lake Crater Volcano Turkey

New species of microscopic algae found in the volcanic crater lake in Turkey. Algae, according to a study diatom species (a large group of algae, plankton) the smallest.

Discovered by researchers from the University of Plymouth, England, a new species of algae is called Clipeoparvus anatolicus, according to a new genus belonging and not really clear relation premises with other diatoms.

The result is the discovery of new algae that will be published in the journal Diatom Research.
